Manual Backups & Data Protection

Important Notice: Per Section 7 of our Terms of Service, CordenX does not run automated backups. You are responsible for creating, downloading, and maintaining off-site backups of your server files.

Creating a Manual Backup in the Panel​

  1. Navigate to the Backups section in your server sidebar.
  2. Click Create Backup.
  3. (Optional) Enter a name for your backup (e.g., pre-update-backup-01).
  4. (Optional) In the Ignored Files & Directories box, list any temporary files you wish to exclude (e.g., logs/* or cache/*).
  5. Click Start Backup.

Downloading & Restoring Backups​

Downloading to Your Computer​

  1. Once the backup status turns green/complete, click the three dots (...) next to the backup entry.
  2. Click Download to save the .tar.gz archive to your local device.

Restoring a Backup​

  1. To restore your server to a previous backup state, click the three dots (...) next to the desired backup in the panel.
  2. Select Restore.
  3. Confirm whether you want to truncate (delete) existing files before restoring.
  4. Wait for the restore process to finish, then start your server.
